Marcus Carson has a Ph.D. in Sociology, and is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Sociology. He has previously done research on questions of ethnicity, identity, and integration policy as part of two large-scale EU projects, as well as a special Government Investigation on Power, Integration, and Structural Discrimination. Dr. Carson is currently completing a book (in collaboration with Tom R. Burns) on the politics of integration in Sweden. He has over 25 years of related policy experience in public policy activities, and currently sits as a member of the local school board in the community in which he lives.
