Georges Felouzis is affiliated with LAPSAC (until recently a professor of sociology at the University of Bordeaux 2) and also appointed as senior researcher at University of Geneve. He has published numerous articles and books on schooling and higher education. He has analyzed the educational system from the point of view of teachers’ practices and from a more systemic point of view. His most recent work, L'apartheid scolaire: Enquete sur la segregation ethnique dans les colleges, Paris, Edition du Seuil, 2005, is on ethnic segregation in secondary schools and its effects on the acquisition of diplomas and on social and ethnic identities.
