Tina Kallehave is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Education. Her research is characterized by a dialectic approach to theoretical/ conceptual development and qualitative empirical studies. Migration stands at the core of her research, as a condition creating numerous challenges at the individual, societal, state and global level. Applying a relational perspective she investigates processes of recognition, transformation and alienation of subjects and systems as complex fields of multiple and different agents. Since completing her Ph.D. thesis, she has been researching labor market integration among Somali men in relation to the complexity of their situations as immigrants in general. Her present studies focus on work conditions for immigrants in the context of small and medium sized enterprise (SME) management and culture.
