David Kostlan

David Kostlan is a sociologist specialized in migration issues and ethnicity, including migration theory, European immigration policy and social exclusion of ethnic minorities. He has been working as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences since 2005, being involved in a project on ethnic identification of Slovaks living abroad. Since 2007, he is a principal investigator of the Slovak team in the Socrates Program project called Aqua: Availability and Quality, and also participating in a research project ‘Social Inequalities and the Query of Social Cohesion - multiplying the perspectives’. He teaches at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of Comenius University in Bratislava.
