Nandor Laszlo Magyari

Nandor Laszlo Magyari is a sociologist and university lecturer at Babes Bolyai University. He is teaching courses on ethnicity and interethnic relations, research methodology and methods, politics. He has considerable research experience in quantitative research methods as leader of several survey researches on Romanian-Hungarian, Hungarian-Roma and Romanian-Roma interethnic relations, numerous opinion polls on political attitudes, and investigations on the minority school system and educational and minority policies from Romania. His most recently published book is Relatii si probleme interetnice in Transilvania post-socialista (Interethnic relations and problems in the post-socialist Transilvania). He also co-authored an article recently that is related to the topic of the EDUMIGROM project "The Social Construction of Romanian Poverty: The Impact of Ethnic and Gender Distinctions", in Poverty, Ethnicity and Gender during Market Transition, edited by Ivan Szelenyi and Rebecca Emigh, Greenwood, 2000.
