Emilia Molnar has significant theoretical research expertise in the areas of micro-social relations, segregation, and social exclusion in education. She has conducted research on ethnicity, the development of the Roma political participation, minority politics, advocacy networks and gender issues, and has studied the forging of the minority self-government system in Hungary, and also that of the international Roma movement. She has several years of experience also in anthropological fieldwork.
