Dr. Sarah Swann's research interests focus on how inequalities are reproduced through the education system. She completed a PhD in Social Research at the University of Sheffield in 2009. Her PhD thesis was inspired by her teaching experiences and was a study of pupil disaffection within a school in a disadvantaged inner city area. She has worked as an English Teacher, learning mentor and various roles within community education.
